Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30

The Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30 isn’t some garden centre afterthought assembled by committee - it’s the brainchild of horticultural professionals who’ve spent years elbow-deep in soil, shut away in purpose-built grow rooms.

This substrate isn’t sold on hype - it’s delivered on performance. Designed in the UK and backed by a genuine UK warranty, it comes with the reassurance of decent customer service and that rarest of qualities: manufacturers who actually know their product.

70% Coco. 30% Perlite. The Goldilocks Mix.

The genius of the Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30 lies in its well-balanced formula: 70 % premium, RHP-certified coco coir sourced from carefully flushed and buffered raw material, combined with 30 % chunky 3–6 mm perlite.

The coir retains moisture and essential nutrients with grace, while the perlite throws open the structure like a cathedral arch, preventing paths of suffocation or compaction. It’s that sweet spot between too soggy and too dry - just right for roots that are in it to win it.

Moisture Management. Mastered.

If you've ever drowned seedlings with too many watering attempts, you’ll appreciate what Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30 brings: capillary action that holds onto water long enough to nurture roots, then releases it just as cleanly so those roots don’t drown themselves in wetness.

Thanks to its structured composition, water drains naturally - even during hand watering - so your substrate rides the line between hydration and overflow like a seasoned gymnast, all while keeping your pH and nutrient solution stable.

Premium Root Aeration.

Healthy roots take two things: air and steady hydration. This substrate’s lofty structure, created by its perlite-laced blend, ensures unimpaired airflow and oxygenation at the root zone. That leads to vigorous growth, fewer suffocation-related issues, and a silent advantage - no anaerobic pockets, no root rot. Whether your system is a flood-and-drain basin, a hand-watered pot, or an experimental ebb-and-flow tray, the Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30 delivers stability and consistency time after time.

Ready To Use & Seriously Effective.

Let’s be honest: the last thing anyone wants is a clunky substrate that needs hours to prep or brings its own overhead in maintenance. The Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30 ships ready to go, pre-mixed, and supplied in handy 45 L bags - no soaking, washing, or faffing around required. Pour it, plant into it, and get on with growing. And while it’s featherlight to transport, it’s built to last - you’re setting yourself up for strong root zones, healthier plants, and a growing environment that doesn’t waste space or patience.

By Growers. for Growers.

If you want a substrate that behaves predictably, supports robust root architecture, and gives you total control over feeding and hydration - without feeling like you’ve bought something assembled on a whim - then Gold Label Coco Perlite 70/30 is the smart choice. It’s lightweight, ready-to-use, and engineered for growers who demand quality, consistency, and excellent results. Step up your game, plant up properly, and enjoy watching roots do what they do best - in a substrate that doesn’t get in their way.

Why are your soil prices so high?

Soil is relatively cheap. Driving massive 50L bags of it up and down the country - isn't.

Most other retailers will tempt you in with low prices before hitting you with a "heavy item" surcharge at the end. We hate this. We'd rather be upfront with our pricing.

It's hard to make a profit on soil - so we don't. We sell it to you for the price it costs us to buy it, pay taxes and ship it to you. Our accountant doesn't like this. But we think it's the right thing to do.
