You've just finished watering, the plants look fantastic and the grow room is tidy. Then you notice the runoff trays are full, and now you've got to get several litres of nutrient-rich water out of the bottom of the tent without spilling it everywhere. Again.

The Mars Hydro Automatic Drainage System is a four-pot grow tent drainage kit for indoor gardeners, built to stop you doing this nonsense. It collects the runoff from under your plants and pumps it away when the water reaches the right level, so there are no buckets, no wet-vac and no crawling around inside the tent.

The Pump Knows When To Get To Work.

This is the clever bit. The automatic drainage pump senses when runoff has built up, switches itself on, clears it and switches off again, with no buttons to press and nothing to remember. Mars Hydro has basically given your grow tent its own little drainage department, and unlike most departments, this one actually works.

Zero Standing Water. Happier Roots.

Roots sitting in soggy compost get less oxygen, which is when root rot starts. The raised trays lift all four grow bags clear of the runoff, and debris filters on the drain ports help stop blockages. That's considerably better than leaving your plants sat in a puddle.

25 Watts. 200ml/s. Seriously Useful.

The pump is compact, but it's not messing about. Up to 200ml/s and around 5 metres of lift means you can run the tubing away from the tent to a container or drain, which is handy, because most people don't choose their spare bedroom based on plumbing.

Works Beautifully With Automated Irrigation.

On its own, it solves the runoff problem. Pair it with a Mars Hydro Drip Irrigation System and you've got proper drain-to-waste, with water going in and water coming out without lifting a finger. Add the iTime or iHub Pro for app timers and schedules, or Smart Soil Sensors + iControl for live moisture and EC readings, and you're well on the way to a fully automated grow room.

Good To Know

It's made for soil or coco in pots and grow bags, where runoff drains through. Recirculating hydroponics like DWC won't need it, and one pump can run extra trays.
